Oxfordshire NHS BME Network is organizing an event to celebrate black history month, diversity within the NHS and 65 years of the NHS. We hope to motivate and inspire.

Professor Elizabeth Anionwu CBE Emeritus Professor of Nursing at the University of West London. Professor Anionwu is vice chair of the Mary Seacole Memorial Statue Appeal. She is also a patron of the Sickle Cell Society and was the first Sickle Cell Specialist nurse in the UK. – Professor Anionwu is a very warm and engaging personality and speaker.

Mr Owen Williams -The Chief Executive of Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. Owen Williams joined the Trust as its new Chief Executive in May 2012. Before this he was Chief Executive of Calderdale Council providing managerial leadership across an organisation which serves a local population of 201,000 people and more than 7,500 businesses.
